If you're a regular hiker like I am and you like to take pictures then you probably have a drawer full of mountain and lake shots. That doesn't generally stop me from taking more but sometimes it's nice to change it up a bit.

Try the world of smaller things. Odds are that your camera supports a close-up mode called Macro mode. Here's a macro shot I took of a wild rose on a backpacking trip not too long ago.
One of the blogs I read called lifehacker had an entry on macro photography how-to's for digital cameras. If you like hiking and photography I recommend that you experiment with macro photography. |
